Demonstrate a commitment to carrying out professional responsibilities, adherence to ethical principles, and sensitivity to a diverse patient population. Specific objectives related to this competency include:

  • Contribute respectfully to interdisciplinary teams. 
  • Discuss ethical principles that apply to the care of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Teach medical students, residents, and community partners about developmental-behavioral pediatrics 
  • Demonstrate leadership in the area of developmental-behavioral pediatrics using the leadership paradigm of the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB)
