Text message prompts and shared decision making

Official Research Title: Use of a text message communication prompt to encourage parent and clinician shared decision making in pediatric orthopedic sub-specialty sisits: A pilot randomized controlled trial

Principal Investigator: Lauren Hubner, MD, MPH

Study Description: In this randomized controlled trial, parents get either a prompt that encourages shared decision-making (like: don't forget to ask about alternative treatments) vs. something neutral (like: don't forget to ask for a school excuse if you need it). The outcomes are parent reports of shared decision-making.
