Research Progress Seminar

This monthly seminar allows fellows to meet ACGME competencies for:

  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • Professionalism
  • Systems-based Practice.

The goals of this seminar include review of research design and methods.

In this series, fellows, faculty, and research staff focus discussions on the academic interests of fellows and faculty, including developing research projects, applying clinical research methods and choosing appropriate biostatistics. Fellows contribute to discussions of these projects and develop skills for providing fair and balanced feedback. Practice in communication leads to professionalism, particularly in the area of research ethics. Fellows present their scholarly projects, practice teaching techniques, and discuss advocacy efforts.

Evaluation is based on aggregate impression of the quality of contributions and presentations.
